Student studying in the library

Our department relies on the generous support of alumni and friends to provide the best possible learning and research environment for our students and faculty members.

Donor support allows us to:

  • Offer scholarships to academically strong undergraduate and graduate students, as well as to those with financial need
  • Recruit and retain the best faculty members
  • Provide state-of-the-art facilities that house important research and teaching
  • Providing learning and professional development opportunities for our students

Our hope is that every student who graduates from our university will be religiously literate, possessing an ability to understand the deepest and most sensitive aspects of other cultures, and our mission is in part to contribute to this goal.

Your contribution will assist us to achieve this goal by providing scholarships for the research projects of our students, named awards for student excellence, and funds that will support study abroad. We also welcome support for our existing lecture series and support that will endow additional lecture series.

We currently have three funds: one for general support of the program, one to support public lectures in all areas sponsored by the program, and one to support public lectures in our Religion and Environmental Thought Series.
