The Pandharipande Award is a prize for the best undergraduate and graduate paper written on the topic of Hinduism. Both undergraduate and graduate student winners are awarded $500 in a competition judged by faculty in the department. Awards are given at the end of spring semester every year.

The prize was established in 2024 by our cherished Professor Emerita of Hinduism,  Rajeshwari V Pandharipande.
